I have a genuine interest in seeing my clients progress, success and grow, and solve their health problems from the inside out. I have a passion for supporting their progress to become the best version of themselves.
I am a Georgetown University certified Health and Wellness Coach, with a degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, and a post-graduate in Public Health. I’m also mum to a little girl, and wife to a British diplomat. I love animals, and I like to explore new ways of thinking.
I was born and educated in Colombia. I have had the opportunity to live and work in different countries in Europe, Latin America and the United States.
As a dietitian and nutritionist, I developed strategies to promote health and to prevent illness. As a consultant working with corporate clients I enabled the management and control of chronic disease through better diet, healthy eating, and promoting lifestyles to reduce the risk of illness. As a lead technical adviser for the Colombian government in Bogotá I contributed to a substantial public sector programme to answer a community’s nutritional requirements and needs.
Over the years, I had worked with various clients suffering from different problems relating to their health and wellbeing. The results had varied. Some had managed to change their behaviours to achieve positive health outcomes, whilst others had encountered difficulties and had struggled. I found that ability and commitment did not determine success or failure when making a lasting change.
I wanted to understand what gave clients the best chance of success. I started questioning why we focus only on the symptoms of a particular health issue. I wanted to help clients identify a more compassionate and comprehensive way. To look at the root causes of their health problems.
To developing my thinking, I joined Georgetown University’s prestigious Health and Wellness Coaching programme. Georgetown’s renowned holistic approach complemented my existing learning and experience, allowing me to care for and understand the whole person. To address the mind, body and spirit of my clients. From this I devised my own programme to support your Health and Wellness.
So, what is the key to a successful health and wellness programme that offers you enduring change? I believe that I have found the best answer - that difference is you. Only you know yourself, who you are, and what you want in all aspects of your life. That includes your health and wellness. You know how good you are today, and only you can decide how much better you are going to be. This is the programme that allows you to say, “I am the Best Me by Me”.
My professional, personal, and coaching experience can guide you to make the changes you want in your life. I facilitate behavioural change in my clients looking to fulfill a healthier life. I support them in their process to discover self-knowledge, to achieve, and then to maintain the changes necessary to move forward and realise their dream of wellness and optimal health.
